Sarai Goodwin

Sarai has been an RMT since early 2010. She was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia and graduated from the 3,000 hr Massage Therapy Diploma program at WCCMT in Victoria in 2009. Sarai believes it is important to work with the patient and within their pain tolerance; she encourages clients to give feedback in regards to technique and pressure throughout the massage to ensure the client feels comfortable and in control of their treatment. She uses a variety of techniques, including myofascial trigger point release, active release, fascial work, deep tissue and PNF to release muscle tension and fascial restriction in order to decrease perceived pain, increase range of motion and address muscle imbalances. Early in her career, she trained at some of the city’s top spas and still enjoys practicing relaxation massage. Sarai has experience working with patients young and old and with a variety of abilities, injuries and illnesses, including chronic pain, muscle tension, neurological symptoms/nerve pain (including sciatica and pseudo-sciatica), TMJ dysfunction, headaches/migraines, and myofascial pain syndrome. In her spare time, she enjoys her family and friends, boardgames, volunteering, traveling, gardening, and the great outdoors.
